I heart progress!

I am finally quilting my Old Red Barn Quilt-along quilt!
Can you believe it?  I can't.
I didn't think I would ever get it done.  I seem to have lost my
sewing mojo.  At least the part that likes to get in gear and finish things!

Here is the pieced back.  It is my first try at it and I love it!
I am really loving how the aqua thread stands out on the white.
Yum!

Although I am so close to finishing it, I still am not working on it right now...*sigh*.

My mind is full of ideas and I want to get started on them so I don't forget them!
  • 2 PIFs finished
  • fall table runner (inspiration: twiddletails)
  • finish borders for zigzag quilt
  • design a quilt for my MIL for Christmas using some leftover she gave me
  • Christmas wall hanging using The Caroler charm pack
***What are you working on or dreaming about?***

Happy Sewing!

Freindship Bag Swap

I loved making this little bag!
It is sooo cute and easy to do. Head over to Rachel's blog to get the tutorial!

I also made a little (big) pincushion and a card from leftovers! I hope my swap partner likes it!

I am really enjoying all the swaps that are going on from the
Quilting Gallery. If you aren't signed up for one,
head over there and sign up. There seems to
always be one going : )

I had some leftover fabric that I mis-cut from my D9P
table runner
that was screaming at me to become
a little bag as well....

I really like them...I quilted them with "boo!" in white thread. Now
all I need is a desk to sit them on and fill them with candy.

I hope everyone is having a good week!

Happy Sewing!

sick.

I am not feeling so good...have a terrible cough, but I think I am on the mend!
Before I got sick, I did manage to turn our old ottoman from this:
beige and stainy
To this!
I found this awesome fabric that almost matches my couch at the "The Cloth Barn" in
Goldsboro, NC.
I about fell over when I saw it!
So this ottoman went from being just a normal ottoman to....

an awesome storage space!!! Thanks to the hubby!!
(seen here without her hinge...she is complete now)

I think it looks pretty awesome!
Here's to feeling better soon!

MoMo Purse....FINALLY!

Well, I finally finished my Wonderland by Momo purse! I really liked how it turned out....and I even put in that zippered center pocket I was asking everyone about!! yay! I used the tutorial from Artsy-Crafty Babe's Phoebe Bag free pattern....it was awesomely easy and very well written!

Here is the inside...its a bit too small so I have already bought some more fabric to make the next bag....It won't be Wonderland sadly, cuz I simply can't find anymore!
After seeing my purse, my Granny wanted me to make her one...the below pic is what I came up with...I just kinda winged it. I measured her current purse and made it that size plus 2 inches and put all her current pockets on the inside of this as well. I hope she liked it...its a little boxy, but I think it will loosen up a bit over time.

After doing this bag with a zipper closure, I think all my bags will be that way...it wasn't that hard and I really liked how neat and tidy the top stitching turned out to be doing this way.

Sorry about the camera phone pic, but it is at its new home now...away from my camera!

I have lots more to share with ya'll, but I think I will stretch it out a few posts...next post will be about winning! and minis! Yay!!
